It’s not something that a lot of marketers like to talk about and is usually swept under the covers.

Today I’m going to take you through a step by step guide on how I do escort SEO for my clients, I hope you find something useful out of this article.

 

Step 1 – Keywords Research

The first thing I do whenever I take on a new client in any niche, is research the most profitable and compeitive keywords for the area I’m targeting.

Because SEOZealand is a kiwi company, we are going to imagine we are about to take on a client that has just started an Auckland escort agency.

After around twenty minutes of research I have nailed down the biggest keywords to the following list;

(I have blurred out one of the keywords, because it is a brand term in Auckland, I’ll speak more about that later in the post).

As you can see we now have a bunch of keywords that fit our niche.

 

Step 1 – Competitor Analysis

If you are already a client of ours you will know that we take our competitor analysis very seriously.

For every new potential client we take on, we will send them a completely free custom SEO analysis. In this analysis we go through the top three competitors in their niche, and find out exactly what their SEO strategy is.

Lets look at the top ranked escort agency in Auckland (Obviously I have blurred out URL’S as its unfair to pick-a-part sites without the owners permission).

The first thing I do is find out what the top site in the niche is ranking for.

I have done this with the screenshot below;

Now that we know what the top competitor is ranking for, we can find some more keyword ideas. For example we didn’t find the term “nz girls” in out initial compeitior analysis, but now we know its a large term thats relevant to our niche (the term has over 590 searches a month).

 

Link Checking

Now I will check the links pointing to our competitors site.

We can see that this competitor has a MASSIVE amount of links (over 1,118,873!).

For most kiwi clients, to outrank a competitor like this would be very difficult. Unless your budget is large (think at least 5000 dollars a month).

BUT don’t be disheartened!

Now that we know of the top competitor in our niche. Were going to repeat the same process for the top FIVE competitors.

This isn’t a long process and all you need to do is type in the most competitive keyword in your industry (in our case we used “nzescorts”) and save the top 5 URLS.

I’m now going to use a custom SEO tool. With this tool I will input the top five competitors in the Auckland escort niche, the tool when then find every link that is pointing to EVERY single one of those competitors! Now you may be wondering why this is a good thing. Well think about it. If a site is willing to link out to FIVE of our competitors in the same niche, it is very unlikely that they would object to linking out to our escort site! This is a simple and easy way to steal our competitors links, in a completely white hat way!

After cleaning up the list I came up with this;

From this we can either create accounts on the site and post a link to our escort site on them (this fits in with the forums and citation directory sites). OR  we can send an email to the owner or admin of the site and let them know that we think our site would fit in just perfectly with their content and we think they should feature our link!

Now obviously you may think that most editors would immediately say no, they get over one hundred link requests a day. HOWEVER remember the sites in the above lists have linked out to five of our competitors site that is in exactly the same niche as our site!
